Here are some typical services and costs you will need to consider when setting up a website (not all will apply in every situation):
1. Domain Registration (www.yourdomain.com) - this usually ranges from $9 per year and is sometimes free for the first year. You may have additional fees if you are going to buy a domain from an individual.
2. Web Hosting - you are going to need a place to house your web site. There are many hosting companies that offer 99.5% up time and have many benefits. We mainly work with Brinkster. Their fees range from $4 - $34 per month.
3. Online Payment Processing - Offering online purchasing with real-time credit card processing can cost up to $45 a month (Brinkster only charges $26.95 per month) in addition to any one time setup-fee and/or application fee (free from Brinkster).
4. Design/Creation of the website - Fees vary from website to website. Since each website differs in complexity, graphics, and size it is difficult to quote general costs. Therefore, to receive an estimate that is geared to fit your needs, please email Chas Allred at customerservice@allwebtechnology.com.
A typical 3 - 5 custom designed website with simple static design and all images and text provided by the customer will range from $500 - $600. Add in hosting fee of $4 per month and you have a minimum price. (You can save on the cost and time by picking a pre-designed template rather than a custom design).
5. Maintenance of the existing website. Fee ranges from $50 - $60 per hour depending on the type of work. Estimates will be provided up front. I am happy to take over your existing website and make the necessary changes you need.
Note: A Needs Analysis and Design document will be written up for every client. Also an itemized estimate will be provided once the Needs Analysis and Design is completed. Before work can begin on any website, a downpayment for 30% of the total cost will be required. Also the client will be responsible for paying for the hosting and domain via their own credit card or billing process once the design is signed off.
